According to one review, Mindguard is "a great book with mind-bleeding new ideas! Scary ones as well..." (The review can be found on Amazon.de) Scary, see, scary is good this time of year. So treat yourself to a great read for Halloween.
Speaking of which, I decided to mark this holiday by making a creepy book trailer for Mindguard . Now, when I became a full-time writer, I decided to treat this as a career, with 8 to 10-hour workdays and plenty of time spent not only developing my craft but also my understanding of all aspects of publishing. However, that doesn't mean I can't have fun once in a while.
Since I'm a hobby photographer I thought I'd take a stab at creating a short trailer, which I shot in the very wine-bar where, sheltered from a terrible summer-storm, I wrote the scene in which Horatio Miller informs Sheldon and Mac of the mission, in his private wine-cellar. Needless to say, my surroundings inspired the setting.
Anyway, here it is, in all its amateurish glory. Still, I hope you'll think it's cool.
Here is a review of Orange Violet, which I wrote for The Music and Myth:
He is currently touring Europe, so if you happen to find yourself in one of the following cities I highly recommend catching him live:
Meanwhile, as I'm anxiously awaiting October 26th, I'm also working on future story ideas and trying to get the voices in my head in order. Right now, I can't stop Cullen and Rei Arnaut from bickering.
Remember to check back on Sunday for Mindguard at 0.99$!
